53. Simple Ways to Stand Out
Clean Your Air Fryer

I’m hearing a lot about how hard life is these days. In fact, I just listened to a podcast with two big names on the Ed Mylett show talking about how North American society has been structured in a way that makes things harder than they used to be. Scott Galloway, professor of marketing and best selling author, mentions that for the first time ever, people in their 30s are now less wealthy than their parents were at the same age. The data suggests that it is, in fact, harder than it used to be, and people are complaining about it. Go ahead and hear it from two brilliant minds and listen to the episode below, then do us all a favour and stop complaining.
Is that too harsh? I mean taxes are too high, food is too processed and post secondary education is too expensive, so it’s not like you can coast your way to the American dream anymore. However, could it be that our expectations are a bit off? Do we have the right to our dream life without putting in some serious effort? I’d venture to say no, and I’d venture to say that even though the data says greater effort is required to reach certain achievements compared to the past (homeownership for example), the fact that a variable such as effort can dictate your life’s course is not a just cause for complaining.
Now, less than ever, is any governing authority telling you how to live your life. If you’re lucky enough to live in North America, you can do as you please. I’m not saying it’s easy, and I’m not saying you can build a gym in a warehouse without proper permits, all I’m saying is that if you want to build a gym in a warehouse, you can.
