Have you noticed that there’s a lot of complaining going on in the world right now? Everyone has problems but nobody offers a solution.
Are you tired of it?
The negativity. The pessimism. The discouragement. It’s too hard, it’s too complicated, it’s too messed up.
I’m tired of it, so it was refreshing this morning when I sat down for breakfast and was greeted by someone who said they can’t complain about life these days. I said “sure you could but I’m glad you’re not!”
So let’s keep this simple today. Stop complaining.
I’m guilty of it.
You’re guilty of it.
For a day. Let’s stop.
This is the quote I like to remind myself of when things seems worthy of complaint:
Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.
If something seems bad then look for what seems good, because if the bad is there, the equivalent good is somewhere close by.
Jim Rohn offers my closing statement:
Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands, but not you.
As Rocky Balboa once emphatically proclaimed: “You’re better than that!”
See you next Thursday.
